A Slice of Heaven on Earth...
This booking was by far the easiest and best choice I have made for a getaway. The owner Melissa communicates well and is available should you need anything. We did not because the home is perfectly appointed with everything you will need (I mean everything down to spare sugar/salt/pepper). Bring your family/friends/food/dog/kids and enjoy this private large gorgeous lake house. It is exactly what it should be to fit the Lake George themed cabin atmosphere. If you are expecting modern and stucco maybe this is not for you. We loved the wood beams/walls/classic traditional dining room table for everyone to share a meal from the clean newer three burner Weber grill right off of the porch. We enjoyed playing billiards on the clean table with a lake view through the large glass window. My daughter played on the swing set and loved the private little "doll house" nestled in the woods right near the kitchen to keep an eye on the kids. The lake house / dock is oversized and two levels. Space to suntan, eat, fish, park your boat and not feel tight at all. The water is crystal clear and you have completely unobstructed views of the lake off the dock. The photo's we took look like a postcard. All I ask is you respect the property, lake and home so it can be as perfect as it was for our visit last week!!! We will be back 110%.

This home has the feel of staying with family.
Our stay was wonderful! My 3 kids and I stayed 3 nights in October. Apart from playing mini golf for a few hours, we were at the house the entire time. Plenty for the kids to explore and enjoy! This home has all the feel of staying with family. Everything was clean, unique, and worked well. The lake is crystal clear, the boathouse had everything we needed. There was even a hiking trail across the street. Melissa was a fantastic host. She was sincerely considerate and very responsive. We’ll be back!
Beautiful lake location in a cute house
Melissa the host is a great communicator and wants to make sure your stay is wonderful. The house itself is cute, small well equipped kitchen opening to a dining/ living room area with a gas stove that was great to warm up on the cool autumn nights. The bedroom layout offered privacy and would be great if multiple families traveled. 3 were connected w on suite bathrooms, while 2 shared a hallway bath. 2 bedrooms while being private have the option of opening a door between them, 1 had 2 twins one was I believe a full or queen which is perfect if you're traveling with young children. The yard is private and there is a downhill walk to the lake. The boathouse with rooftop deck have the most beautiful lake views! We enjoyed having our coffee every morning on the deck! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, location was just 10 min from Bolton Landing and Lake George Village.. but removed from the crowds and peaceful.

A Truly Great Experience

This was not my first time in Lake George, but this was my first time renting a house rather than a hotel lodge. It was the best decision I've made about a vacation.
Melissa was sweet and professional from the moment the house was booked. Her communication and personality made my experience even better. Thank you.
The house is very special. It has a warm and welcoming feel from the start. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms, great open-concept first floor. We had a lot of room to be with the family or stay our distance. The backyard is my favorite point of the house. It has the best breathtaking views of the lake and of Pilot Knob Mountain. The wooden dock has two floors. Top floor has wooden chairs and lounges to sit and enjoy the views with friends and family. The bottom deck provided access to kayaks and a tube to go into the lake.
It’s hard to grasp my description in words. You have to go and experience this to see and feel how amazing this is. Overall this lake house is a great place to be with nature. Relax indoors or outdoors. Travel around the town. Stay indoors and read a book, watch movies , cook and eat. It’s meant for anyone and everyone. The house was clean and has character. There are hand written notes throughout house to inform us on what switches turn on what, directions on how to operate certain items 🙂 This just shows that Melissa knows her house very well and can help you anytime. This was truly a great experience to my family and me. I would suggest this Lake House rental to everyone!!!! Loved it!!!

Spending Time Together Comfortably

The house set-up was perfect for our family as everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, yet we were all together in the main room. The large dining room was spacious and we had plenty of room to eat and play games. Bringing our canine family members was a big plus for us and Melissa provided bowls and treats for them. The weather did not cooperate for our weekend get-away, but we didn't mind as we were able to spend time together comfortably.

Fantastic set up for groups!
We had the best time at the lake house in Diamond Point! The house is set up with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. Ideal for our group. We had 9 adults and 2 dogs for a weekend of ice fishing for my boyfriends 40th birthday. We were all very comfortable, and spread out. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the woodsy feel to it. Kitchen looks small, but I was easily able to cook all meals all weekend, and with the help of the kitchen tools provided. Melissa is a wonderful host! She met us at check-in and showed us around and made sure we were 100% accommodated. Check-out made simple, too. Honestly, we were bummed leaving! Thank you, Melissa. 5 star stay!

Lake George in the Winter
We really enjoyed our weekend at the Lake House on Lake George. The owner met us and walked us through the property. It was exactly as described - very roomy and it was nice that we all had our own bathrooms. It was below zero the whole weekend and we were toasty warm. Beautiful access to the lake with a private deck and dock which makes us want to come back in the warmer months. Great for a  family or a group of friends.

There are not enough superlatives to describe our stay at this wonderful Adirondack retreat! First, Melissa, the owner, is everything you could want in a professional yet super friendly host. From the initial inquiry to our departure we always felt we had a valuable partner in getting a wonderful vacation. When we arrived, she was there to greet us, familiarize us with the property, and see what special needs we might have. Throughout our week she was always available with a helpful hand. The house is warm and cozy and the bedrooms are really nice -- two master bedrooms with en suite full baths in addition to three other bedrooms and two other full baths. AND, plenty of hot water for the showers was a treat! The location is gorgeous -- with a boat house with deck right on the lovely Lake George. There is ample room in the house to spread out and play games or read or just watch TV. The kitchen appears small at first until you start to work in it and you realize that it has everything you need, conveniently located and with plenty of room to prepare whatever meal you want. The dining table is huge and dishes and silverware plentiful. Diamond Point is convenient to Lake George and to Bolton Landing, but also very near other destinations like Lake Luzerne, Saratoga, and points north. Lake House has everything you need for a great time; you bring your food and you're all set. Relaxation or exciting explorations are all possible here. This home deserves way more than 5 stars!!!! The house is rustic, very clean with lots of bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with all kinds of cooking-wear. The deck over the boat house looking out on the lake is awesome, with a wide and unobstructed view. We watched the harvest moon rise (Melissa let us know not to miss this!). Melissa was very easy to communicate with for check in and check out and if we had any questions during our stay. The only issue is that the walk down to lakeside is a slight challenge for an elderly couple like us. But the TV with some cable channels was excellent as was internet reception. The king-sized bed in the Master bedroom was very comfortable and there was a balcony and ensuite bathroom adjacent. The area is ideal for a visit to Lake George. We had a lovely stay.

“Went up for a few days at the end of March and had a truly relaxing, lovely experience.  Melissa was extremely nice and helpful by e-mail and in person.  House was even better than pictures – gorgeous and meticulously maintained.  Deck has incredible views of the lake – perfect for sunning and reading even on the less sunny days.  On the chillier day, we stayed close to home and enjoyed the cozy living room with gas fireplace and watched DVDs and ate homemade meals cooked in the well-appointed kitchen – every pot/pan/utensil you could ever need!  Had a campfire the next night in the fire circle and roasted hot dogs and s’mores while looking up at a million stars.  Everything you need in terms of grocery, restaurants, supplies, is nearby in Bolton Landing or  Lake George Village.  Took small side trips but mainly just enjoyed down time in a really beautiful setting.  Hot water was excellent and plentiful.  Would love to come back in summer for boating and swimming, but really loved how quiet the neighborhood and lake were during the off-season.”

“The home was impeccably clean when we arrived. The location of the house is very private with the deck away from the house. It was a little hike to the lake but the privacy was well worth it. The bedrooms were private and the number of baths worked well. The living space would’ve been small for our party of 6 adults and one toddler if we had had bad weather, but fortunately, it was beautiful therefore we were able to use the screened in porch as additional space. All in all a wonderful experience. We enjoyed Lake George and the other communities surrounding it. Thank you.”
